On the 7th December 2016, the Executive of Sedgemoor District Council considered a draft of the new Local Plan. If approved by Full Council, this is proposed to go on six weeks public consultation from the 30thJanuary 2017.
With regard to Wedmore, the minimum housing provision to be met between 2011 and 2032 is 118 homes. However, if completions since 2011 are deducted along with unimplemented permissions (including Cross Farm), the minimum figure to be allocated by the Neighbourhood Plan falls to 50.
The Neighbourhood Plan Group will be asking for possible allocation sites to be submitted for assessment in the first half of 2017.
